- To lead in the actualization of the strategic direction and mission of the Credit Union
- To implement all strategic and operational decisions of the board
- To conduct activities to promote the growth and development of the Union, build positive relationships with the internal and external stakeholders
- To manage all Union's activities and functions, including accounting and reporting, operations, compliance, facilities management, finance and investments, human resources, marketing and member care, operations, risk management and security
- To keep accurate accounts and records as may be recommended by the board
- To report to the Board on monthly basis the state of the Credit Union and any matters requiring the Board's attention
- To advise the board on investment activities and monitor the performance of financial institutions holding funds of the union
- To secure and manage the funds and all assets of the Union efficiently and effectively
- To assign duties to and monitor activities of staff to ensure achievement of performance standards and review performance targets for staff
- To administer discipline affecting employees in accordance with the Union's disciplinary code and procedure
- To ensure that the Union is in compliance with the Department of Cooperatives (DOC), Credit Union Association (CUA) of Ghana and Bank of Ghana (BOG) requirements, including other relevant laws and regulatory agencies that re applicable
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the board
- Must possess a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in the field of management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc awarded by a recognised university
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in a management role
- Holding an MBA/CA/CIMA/ACCA will be an added advantage
- Knowledge in credit union operations will be an added advantage
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing skills
- Good interpersonal relationship with very high integrity
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure
- Good appreciation of the financial sector, especially the co-operative sector
