- Our client is an integrated mining, energy and infrastructure business operating in Sub-Saharan Africa that takes a sustainable approach to the development and ownership of its assets to generate shared value for all stakeholders over the long-term.
- Our client is looking for a Commercial & Services Manager to to redesign, build, and embed the systems, processes, and structures to overhaul all functions that provide commercially critical transactional and operational services, instituting end-to-end transactional activities to drive improved organisational efficiency and performance.
- Develop business partnering across all sub-functions to provide targeted commercial insights to assist with commercial decision making, and professional procurement and business advice to support best possible service delivery with the resources available.
- Ensure provision of relevant information and support for the preparation of financial reports, audits, budgets, and financial or commercial analysis.
- Improve overall quality of commercial and transactional data to drive improved commercial and organizational insights.
- Develop the organizational capability to understand the key drivers of the organisation's business and analytical capability to enable high quality and insightful commercial & procurement decisions.
- Provide leadership and line management of the company's commercial and transactional teams including developing operations personnel capability to effectively partner within the business.
- A minimum of bachelor degree in related field.
- Senior operational management experience in the transformation of commercial and services for small to medium-sized heavy industry operation in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Knowledge on how to interpret operational and capital expenditure, developing forecasts, and able to critically evaluate organizational and financial performance and deliver to plan.
- Hands-on commercial and services experience leading a development or transformation programme.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis/cost control.
- Demonstrable strategic and hands on procurement experience.
- Strong experience leading multi-site, multi-cultural teams, and owner-operator environments.
- Genuine understanding of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and the criticality of managing external stakeholder relations.
- Strong focus on environment, workplace health, safety, and security.
