Job Vacancy - Human Resource & Admin Manager
The Human Resource & Admin. The manager would be based in our Accra office but may require frequent travel to Tamale. The role is uniquely positioned to supervise and drive responsible HR management initiatives, including recruitment, training and development, health & safety, performance management, contract management, asset management, and insurance. The suitable candidate will also oversee the day-to-day office administration, ensuring the smooth running of the office and managing a fleet of vehicles, motorbikes, and other resources. This role reports directly to the General Finance Manager. Other key stakeholders include the Managing Director, Internal Auditor & Compliance Coordinator, and Country Finance Manager.About The Savannah Fruits Co. Ltd (SFC)

We work with local cooperatives, empowering Ghanaian women in a sustainable and profitable manner.Job descriptionThe priority areas of the HR & Admin Manager include the following:HR management:
  • Develop the HR function within the context of available modern technology and human resource management tools by planning, organising, and controlling your functional area.
  • Ensure employee welfare and always maintain proper health and safety measures.
Administration:
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office and safeguarding company assets. This includes the availability of office stationery, water, and electricity; managing fuel cards; and managing workplace conflicts.
Travel and Logistics:
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel for employees in a timely and efficient manner, including the arrangement of visas, flight and hotel bookings, stipends, and work permits where necessary.
Compliance and Certification:
  • Ensure compliance with Ghanaian labour laws, ISO certification, and Ghana Free Zones Authority regulations.
  • Ensure all employees comply with SFC Human Resource manual and policies and all approved company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Specific responsibilities
  • Recruitment and onboarding of desired candidates into new or vacant positions in line with company policies
  • Sourcing and organizing relevant training programs for employee development within approved budget
  • Monthly payroll management
  • Implement health and safety policies and ensure regular training to prevent injury and hazards.
  • Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals and training
  • Swift resolution of workplace conflict and employee grievances
  • Ensure employee pension contributions, including SSNIT, Tier 2, and Tier 3, are paid promptly
  • Ensure completeness and safe filing of all contracts entered by SFC, including employee contracts.
  • Ensure both Tamale and Accra offices are maintained, well-equipped, and conducive for work.
  • Always ensure adherence to vehicle and motorbike maintenance and usage policies
  • Timely update and renewal of insurance policies, including Group Life, Health, and Assets All Risk
  • Safeguard all company assets in the interest of SFC
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly returns are filed with the Ghana Free Zones Authority
  • Ensure timely renewal of work/resident permits of expatriate employees
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review relevant policies and procedures for effective HR management.
Requirements & Desired Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' agricultural and manufacturing industry experience is preferred
  • Proficient in HR management software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Readiness to travel frequently to Tamale and other cities as may be required
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Ability to drive innovation and implement projects
  • A professional Human Resources Management certification will be an advantage
