We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team of highly motivated workforce as a Procurement Officer – Machinery PartsJOB OBJECTIVESA Procurement Officer – Machinery Parts, manages the sourcing, acquisition, and oversight of equipment and parts for our manufacturing facility. This role demands strategic planning, cost control, and efficient supplier management to keep production running smoothly and within budgetKEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. STRATEGIC PROCUREMENT
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies in alignment with production targets and financial limitations.
  • Plan for future equipment needs and stay ahead of operational requirements.
[ad]2. SUPPLIER & VENDOR MANAGEMENT
  • Identify and evaluate reliable machinery suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors for long-term collaboration.
3. COST & QUALITY CONTROL
  • Monitor and analyze procurement costs.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising equipment quality.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure machinery meets all required standards and specifications.
4. COMPLIANCE & REPORTING
  • Adhere to company procurement policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports detailing procurement activity, cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory status.
5. INVENTORY OVERSIGHT
  • Manage inventory levels for machinery and spare parts.
  • Ensure timely availability to minimise production downtime while avoiding overstocking.
6. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee supplier contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms.
  • Handle contract renewals and renegotiations as needed.
REQUIREMENT:
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years in procurement, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Solid understanding of machinery, equipment, and technical specifications.
  • NEGOTIATION SKILLS: Ability to secure favourable deals and resolve supplier issues efficiently.
  • ANALYTICAL ABILITY: Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and optimise costs.
  • COMMUNICATION: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • COMPLIANCE AWARENESS: Familiarity with procurement policies, regulations, and industry standards.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with emphasis on Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar role
  • A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a procurement role.
