- Location: Tema, Ghana
- Analyze production costs for vehicle assembly, including direct materials (CKD/SKD components), direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
- Establish and maintain standard costs for assembled vehicles and monitor variances.
- Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) for both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles.
- Support pricing strategies by providing accurate landed cost data, including import duties, freight, and handling.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, including gross margin analysis by product line (vehicles) and service line (repairs).
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Ghanaian tax laws.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) regulations, including VAT on spare parts and services, customs duties on imported components, and corporate tax filings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing detailed cost data, variance analysis, and inventory schedules.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for assembly costs, sales COGS, and service department expenses.
- Develop financial forecasts for material costs, labor rates, and overheads.
- Maintain and optimize the ERP system for cost accounting, inventory management, and job costing.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets, particularly for high-value vehicle inventory and spare parts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline costing methodologies and enhance financial transparency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Professional certification: ICAG (Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana), ACCA, or CIMA is mandatory.
- Minimm of 4–6 years of relevant experience in cost accounting.
- Industry experience in automotive, heavy equipment, manufacturing, or dealership environments is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with job costing, inventory management, and standard costing methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, SAGE, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret cost data and translate it into actionable business insights for assembly, sales, and service teams.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in inventory valuation, job costing, and variance analysis.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of automotive supply chains, import processes, and workshop operations.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with operational managers in assembly, sales, and service departments.
- Integrity: High ethical standards, especially regarding the valuation of high-value vehicle inventory and spare parts.
