- Implementation of all AS-build drawings, photos, technical specifications and design parameters into the SAP database of each asset.
- Ensure that all bills of materials specified for each asset as well as specialized tools required to complete specific tasks are listed in SAP
- Implementation of all the maintenance strategies for each asset.
- Ensure that Asset Management Plans and information meet best practice and ensure it is continuous.
- Provide specialized advice to management on the development and implementation of asset management strategies and services.
- Contribute to identification of asset management service standards and ensure asset performance measures are fit for purpose.
- Perform analyses to highlight issues of consistency across all areas of asset management, and drive improvements as required.
- Provide advice and services to assist with the delivery and planning of asset programmers.
- Provide accurate technical advice related to all asset management programmers and Support effective project outcomes.
- Capture assets whole of life cycle costing and ensure monitoring and monthly updating of the CMMS (SAP) system.
- Perform any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Degree/Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minerals Commission Inspecting Engineer Certificate of Competency.
- A registered member of the Ghana Institute of Engineering will be an advantage.
- Valid Ghanaian Driver’s License.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position with at least 3 years in a Mechanical/Industrial and Electrical or supervisory role, including large-scale fixed asset management at a gold processing plant.
- Practical experience with asset management systems (like CMMS), failure analysis (e.g., RCA, FMEA), and condition monitoring tools is often essential.
- Equipment failure modes, wear mechanisms, and typical maintenance practices in a gold plant environment
- Familiarity with rotating and static equipment: pumps, crushers, conveyors, screens, agitators, compressors, valves, heat exchangers
- In-depth understanding of crushing, milling, CIL/CIP, flotation, thickeners, elution, and gold recovery systems
- Development and implementation of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance plans
- Understanding of lubrication, vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound in predictive maintenance
- Application of ISO 55000 (Asset Management) and ISO 14224 (Reliability Data Collection) standards
- Skilled in developing and optimizing preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Ability to perform asset criticality assessments and implement life cycle asset management.
- Skilled in maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order management.
- Drives reliability improvements, cost reduction, and equipment uptime.
- Able to communicate effectively with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.
- Skilled in report writing, technical documentation, and presenting findings to management.
