- Maintain relevant databases: including registering, scanning, and filing of documents to be submitted to the GSSC.
- Supports with archiving finance related documents.
- Supports in registering, classifying and updating incoming and outgoing documents. Assists in dispatching outgoing correspondence.
- Assists in the follow-up and tracking outstanding actions -generate reports, in accordance with established timetable and procedures.
- Collate VAT invoices and update GRA Form B3 for onward processing by Finance Associate GS5 for refund by GRA.
- Provides backup support during short-term absence of the Finance Assistant GS5.
- Any other duties that may arise.
- Proof of enrolment in an under-graduate or advanced degree programme in a reference letter from school confirming student requires internship.
- Up-to date university transcript or Statement of result/certificate evidencing completion of a degree within the last two years (if applicable).
- Academic background in Accounting and Finance related disciplines
- Demonstrated ability in report writing, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Working knowledge of geospatial software will be an added advantage
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
