- Oversee the financial operations of the bank, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate external audits.
- Monitor the bank's financial performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Ensure efficient cash flow management and proper reconciliation of accounts.
- Provide financial advice and support to executive management and board committees.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role-preferably in the rural banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards (IFRS), and banking operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- High level of integrity, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
