- Deliver high-level legal analysis and strategic guidance on litigation and dispute resolution matters to support timely and informed decision-making.
- Proactively identify potential litigation risks and develop actionable strategies to mitigate legal exposure across business units.
- Lead the preparation, negotiation, and filing of legal pleadings and documents, and represent the company in court and alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Act as the primary liaison with external legal counsel, ensuring performance accountability, case alignment, and effective management of legal engagements.
- Drive the company's debt recovery initiatives by optimizing processes, ensuring legal compliance, and improving recovery efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather evidence, resolve disputes, and maintain business operations.
- Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to the litigation team, promoting knowledge development, succession planning, and team growth.
- Prepare and present comprehensive litigation reports and case updates to senior management and group legal teams, highlighting key risks, outcomes, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure strict adherence to legal governance frameworks, reporting protocols, and regulatory requirements across all litigation activities.
- Member of the Ghana Bar Association with a minimum of 10 years of post-call litigation experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Ghanaian law and court procedures, with a strong record in litigation and advocacy.
- Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and delivering results in complex environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on practical, business-oriented outcomes.
- Commercial mindset with a commitment to aligning legal strategy with organizational objectives.
- Prior experience in a multinational organization.
- Background in the technology or telecommunications sector.
- Membership in international legal professional associations.
- Track record in process improvement and delivering commercially driven legal solutions.
