Job Vacancy For Head of Finance

- This job role is responsible for formulating financial strategies, forecasting models, assessing risk in investments and ensuring that all accounting activities comply with regulations
- Direct financial operations of the company, including accounting, financial reporting, as well as overseeing day-to-day financial activities
- Oversee the budgeting processes, budget planning (monthly), yearly and medium-term and forecasting
- Undertake risk management and organize the company's liabilities adn investments
- Set up and lead a highly efficient finance function (including building, managing, and maintaining a finance team).
- Drive the digitisation of the finance function and continuous improvement and optimization of the finance processes
- Liaise with the auditors during the year and manage the company audit at year end
- Process monthly payroll journals and conciling salary, PAYE & SSNIT control accounts and reconciling figures with GRA records
- Produce and review cash flow forecast and manage cash flow constraints
- Review weekly supplier and subcontractor payments and authorize payments
- Ensure that balance sheet accounts are fully, reviewed and reconciled before month end closure.
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
- Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction
- Fully qualified in a recognised accounting field (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) and has operated in a senior accounting role
- An MBA (Accounting of Finance option) from a recognised university
- Must have at least 10 to 15 years post qualification work experience, with at least 8 years in finance management.
- Relevant experience in the Real Estate or Construction company
- Must have a general working knowledge of Ghanaian regulatory and industry laws
- Outstanding leadership and management skills
- Excellent knowledge in financial systems
- Proven experience as a Director of Finance
- Experience in leading budgeting and forecasting
- Experience in developing financial and tax strategies
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and other financial management software
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
