Maintenance Strategy Development: Designs, implements, and optimises preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Conducts Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) to identify weaknesses and failure trends to prevent repetitive failures.
Utilises technologies like vibration monitoring, oil analysis, and thermography to predict failures
Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Tracks high-cost maintenance items and production losses, developing plans to eliminate them
Provides technical support during shutdowns/outages, leads root cause investigations, and manages equipment upgrades.
Review, assessment and update of integrity management and inspection data for pressure systems, pipelines and structures.
Collaborates with other engineering and maintenance teams to integrate new technologies and methods that increase reliability and performance
Maintains accurate records of equipment failures, repairs, and maintenance proceduresKey Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical engineering or related discipline from a recognised institution.
Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in engineering with three (3) years’ supervisory experience in Reliability/Asset Management in a mining environment.
At least a Sectional Engineer’s certification from the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission and be conversant with the provisions and applicable regulations of the L.I.2182 of 2012.
Advanced degrees or certifications in reliability engineering or related fields can be advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in using various root cause and diagnostic tools
Must be an energetic self-starter with a passion for their work. An engaged, “hands-on” team player.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with all levels of staff.
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office suite and Project Scheduling
Ability to meet diverse engineering challenges and a good knowledge of work management practices
Medical fitness for the role, and must have a valid Ghanaian driving license with proficiency in driving a light vehicle
