Health, Safety and Environment Officer

• Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation

• Initiate and conduct regular toolbox meetings on site with workers and sub-coordinators

• Conduct frequent site inspections, risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures

• Instruct workers on proper use of protective clothing and safety devices

• Conduct routine tests on safety equipment

• Train staff and carry out drills for managing emergency situations

• Develop and implement safe operational procedures on site

• Prepare and implement Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHP)

• Certify scaffolds, trusses, and suspended platforms before use

• Review and update existing policies and measures according to current legislation

• Prepare comprehensive reports on site occurrences, risk assessments, potential hazards, and health and safety policies/strategies
