  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in agronomy, preferably with a focus on field-based roles
  • Profound understanding of crop physiology, soil health, pest management, and precision agriculture
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough on-site assessments of crops, soil conditions, and pest management strategies
  • Collaborate with farmers to develop customized agronomic plans that align with their goals and industry best practices
  • Support the development of clear and comprehensive agronomic trial protocols, ensuring replicability, consistency and scientific rigour
  • Utilize advanced modelling techniques to simulate the impact of different agronomic practices on crop yield, resource allocation and environmental impact
  • Analyze experimental and modelling data to derive insights, make data-driven recommendations and contribute to decision-making
  • Provide actionable insights on planting, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control to maximize yields and sustainability
  • Identify potential issues such as nutrient deficiencies, disease outbreaks, and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Build strong relationships with farmers, serving as a trusted advisor and cultivating a partnership for success
  • Lead training sessions and workshops for farmers, sharing best practices and the latest advancements in agronomy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate field insights into product development and business strategies

  • Someone with in-depth knowledge of crops, soil health, and climate specific to the region, enabling effective on-site assessments and recommendations
  • Someone with proficiency in collecting and analyzing field data to drive informed decision-making and continuously improve agronomic strategies
  • Someone with experience educating and training farmers on best practices, new techniques, and sustainable farming methods that enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Someone committed to promoting eco-friendly practices, conservation of resources, and sustainable agricultural methods
  • Someone with an understanding of precision agriculture technologies, tools, and data collection methods to optimize planting, irrigation, and harvesting
  • Someone with experience in developing comprehensive agronomic trial protocols and modelling techniques
