Job Vacancy For Chief Executive Officer

• The CEO shall be responsible for delivering the mandate of the bank and providing overall supervision of the bank including the effective implementation of policies and directions of the Board in accordance with law

• Ensure the formulation of policies and procedures for carrying out the work of the bank and implement decisions and strategies of the board
• Provide leadership and guidance for the bank through the co-ordination of activities of all departments and agencies for the achievement of the bank's objectives
• Manage efficiently the human, financial and physical resources of the bank to achieve organisational goals
• Ensure compliance with the Banks and specialised Deposit-Taking institutions Act 2016 (Act 930), the ARB Apex Bank Regulations, 2006 (LI1825), Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) and any other relevant legislation and directives
• Co-ordinate the preparation of the bank's strategic plan and budgets and ensure the efficient management of both human and physical resources to achieve organisational goals
• Ensure the preparation of accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual prudential returns and their timely submission to the Bank of Ghana (via ORASS), the ARB Apex Bank, external auditors and other stakeholders to prevent penalties
• Be accountable to the Board of Directors for the day-to-day management and administration of the operations of the Bank
• Establish healthy linkages between the Bank of Ghana, ARB Apex Bank, Association of Rural Banks (ARB), other financial institutions and external bodies
• Institute and ensure the effective functioning of a robust system of internal controls that prevents and/or early detect fraud, errors and irregularities within the bank
• Ensure a peaceful and harmonious industrial working environment

• First Degree in Finance, Accounting, B.Commerce, Economics, Planning, Banking or similar qualification from a recognised university
• Professional qualification such as ACIB, CA, ACCA, etc is an added advantage
• A Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Strategy, Management or similar field is an added advantage
• 5 years to 7 years of post qualification experience in management or a similar role
• Proficiency in the use of Accounting software, T24 and Microsoft suite

• Networking, influencing and stakeholder management communications at all levels both internally and externally
• Demonstrate a strong drive, initiative, business acumen and result-oriented skills

• Thorough knowledge of the banking industry, trends and developments, including up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory/frameworks both locally and at the international level eg. IFRS, BASEL II / III etc.
• Thorough knowledge of the operations and services of rural & community Banks, including all risks related to RCBs
• Thorough knowledge of local banking legislations, including ARB Apex Bank Ltd, Regulations, 2006 (L.I 1825), Banks and specialised Deposit Taking institutions Act, 2016, (Act 930) and companies act, 2019, (Act 992).
