Ready to Press Play on Potential?Let's start with the roleWe are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our newly formed team in Ghana and help us support the company’s presence in the current and future markets in which it operates. This is a great opportunity for professionals seeking to advance their career in Accounting by contributing to the financial and accounting efficiency and robustness of our growing organization.As an Accounting Analyst, you will:
– Perform basic accounting duties i.e. bookkeeping of transactions with specific vendor categories and bank transactions, bank reconciliations, update of accounts statements, monitoring of vendors' balances and relevant accruals performing monthly reconciliations
– Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data. Maintain the database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
– Supervise and participate in tax-related matters for the market of Ghana
– Support ERP reporting with regards to budget and financial statements
– Participate in the analysis of financial results
– Handle ad hoc requests and participate in projects when requested
– Collaborate with the headquarters team in Athens to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting
– Work closely with the internal and external auditors teamWhat you'll bring:
– 3+ years of combined experience in financial reporting/accounting/tax in a relevant position in a corporate international environment - experience in a Big 4 company will be highly appreciated
– Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Finance/Accounting
– Master's Degree in Accounting or ACCA/ACA will be considered an asset
– Strong knowledge of IFRS
– Excellent proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
– Previous experience with Microsoft Business Central/Navision will be considered an asset
– Highly analytical, detail-oriented, with a proven ability to generate new ideas and implement creative solutions
– Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
– Strong organizational, planning, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with strategic and creative thinking
