- Lead the creation of compelling video and photography for use across Ashesi’s website, social media channels, admissions materials, fundraising and advancement communications, and institutional publications.
- Independently plan, shoot, edit, and deliver multimedia content across multiple formats, ensuring high production quality and strong narrative clarity.
- Proactively identify story opportunities that reflect Ashesi’s students, faculty, alumni, research, and broader institutional impact.
- Shape visual stories to suit different platforms and audiences, adapting content for web, social, and other distribution channels while maintaining consistency with Ashesi’s visual identity.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and communications colleagues to ensure multimedia work strengthens overall storytelling and campaign objectives.
- Work with communications teams in units across the University to guide multimedia approaches, support quality standards, and promote visual consistency.
- Serve as a trusted creative partner to colleagues seeking to communicate their work through visual media.
- Provide creative guidance and informal mentorship to junior creatives, interns, or collaborators as needed.
- Grow and maintain a well-organized, high-quality library of photography, video, and audio assets for use across the University.
- Contribute to systems and processes that improve access to and reuse of multimedia assets over time.
- Strong, demonstrable skills in photography and video production across a range of formats and platforms.
- Experience leading complex multimedia projects or campaigns, with a high degree of creative and editorial responsibility.
- Proficiency with industry-standard creative tools, particularly Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively across teams.
- Curiosity about Ashesi’s mission and audiences, with a willingness to learn and engage deeply with the University’s work.
