- Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure supply chain resilience.
- Lead high-value tenders, negotiations, and contract finalization with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs, quality standards, and commercial terms.
- Mitigate contractual risks while identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to align contracts with business objectives.
- Monitor market trends to drive competitive advantage in procurement and supplier partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian mining regulations, local content laws, and corporate governance policies.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, liabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee contract administration, including invoicing, claims, renewals, and terminations.
- Maintain a centralized contract register and provide executive reporting on risks, expirations, and cost impacts.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient stock control, storage, and distribution.
- Implement inventory management best practices to minimize waste and ensure material availability.
- Optimize logistics workflows to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA or legal qualification a plus).
- 10+ years in commercial/warehouse management, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or large-scale logistics with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Contract negotiation and tender processes.
- Warehouse/inventory optimization (WMS knowledge preferred).
- Supplier and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and process improvement.
- Familiarity with Ghanaian mining regulations and local content laws (e.g., GIAMA).
- Certification in contract management (CIPS, CPSM) or supply chain law.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Delta ERP) and contract lifecycle software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies in mining/any related industries.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of tender processes, RFQs, and vendor selection criteria.
- Financial acumen to analyze costs, budgets, and commercial viability.
- Hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock optimization.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools.
- Ability to streamline logistics workflows to support production and reduce downtime.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for storage and material handling.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong stakeholder management to align procurement with operational needs.
- Problem-solving mindset to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Data-driven approach to forecast demand, manage lead times, and minimize excess stock.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers, teams, and senior management.
