Job DescriptionA fast-growing and reputable Rural Bank in the Eastern Region of Ghana, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-oriented Branch Manager to provide strategic leadership and drive the overall performance of a Branch.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision to branch staff to ensure the achievement of operational, financial, and customer service targets.
  • Drive deposit mobilization and growth of the bank's customer base.
  • Oversee credit administration, including loan appraisal, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal controls, AML/CFT guidelines, and all policies of the Bank of Ghana and ARB Apex Bank.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate periodic reports on branch operations and performance.
  • Promote excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the branch's business and enhance profitability.
  • Build a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Safeguard all bank assets and ensure operational efficiency within the branch.
Qualification Required & Experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ICA, ACCA, CIB, or an MBA is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a financial institution, with not less than 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of rural banking operations, credit management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in deposit mobilization, business growth, and people management.
  • High level of integrity, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant banking software (T-24).
