PurposeThe role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMaintain Electrical Systems
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, generators, and control panels.
Maintain Electrical Equipment
  • Perform maintenance on variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, and electrical panels to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical systems, circuits, and components to minimize downtime and support production efficiency.
Troubleshoot Electrical Circuits
  • Identify and fix issues such as short circuits, overloads, and other electrical faults in control or power circuits.
Repair and Replace Components
  • Replace damaged or worn electrical parts and execute timely repairs to restore equipment operation with minimal interruption.
Perform Electrical Testing
  • Carry out electrical tests such as megger testing, insulation resistance testing, and circuit analysis for diagnostics and compliance.
Collaborate with Production Team
  • Work with production staff to schedule maintenance, reduce downtime, and help meet operational targets.
Ensure Safety Compliance
  • Follow all applicable electrical safety protocols, workplace safety regulations, and company standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including circuit analysis, wiring standards, electrical codes, and safety protocols.
  • Prior experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within the steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment, tools, and relevant diagnostic or maintenance software.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and implementing effective technical solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA, Electrical Licensure, or other industry-recognized safety and competency credentials.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical control systems for cranes, conveyors, and fabrication machinery commonly used in steel manufacturing environments.
