- Assist in the daily management and operation of the warehouse.
- Ensure the safe custody and proper handling of all items stored in the warehouse.
- Enter order details (vendors, quantities, prices, etc.) accurately into internal systems.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is required.
- Coordinate with warehouse attendants to ensure safe and organised storage of materials.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Inspect and verify the quality and condition of purchased products upon receipt.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across all store areas.
- Comply with EPA and MinCom regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.
- Prepare and submit end-of-month reports on warehouse activities.
- Manage fuel issues and receipts, including daily dips of plant fuel tanks.
- Provide basic on-the-job guidance to junior staff or helpers when required.
- Receive and offload all incoming goods safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Record and report discrepancies in orders.
- Conduct physical stock counts and report last-issue items and low-level stock conditions.
- Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your supervisor in accordance with the Company's policies.
- Minimum HND in Purchasing & Supply, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics operations, preferably within the mining or industrial sector.
- Supply Chain or Logistics certification is an added advantage.
- Experience with inventory management systems and basic warehouse documentation.
- Valid Ghanaian driver's licence (if required by site operations).
- Good understanding of warehouse operations, including safety and security procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods, stock rotation and material handling practices.
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes and general mining/industrial materials.
- Computer literacy including the ability to use inventory software and MS Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving ability in relation to stock discrepancies and material handling.
- Knowledge of proper storage methods for equipment, materials and consumables.
- Ability to accurately receive, inspect, record and issue materials.
- Ability to maintain simple records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safety standards and operational procedures.
