- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy for Africa, aligned with global objectives.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential markets across the region, including Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Angola, Tanzania, Algeria, Cameroon, and Uganda.
- Identify, evaluate, appoint, and manage distributors, importers, and key commercial partners.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships to ensure brand visibility, market penetration, and consistent growth.
- Drive new business opportunities across both on-trade (hotels, restaurants, bars) and off-trade (retail, supermarkets) channels.
- Lead negotiations on commercial agreements, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure effective execution of market plans.
- Support brand positioning and activation strategies tailored to local markets.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Represent the company at international trade fairs, industry events, and in-market engagements.
- Act as a brand ambassador across all key markets.
- Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence through frequent travel across African markets to build relationships and oversee operations.
- 8–15 years’ experience in international sales and business development within FMCG, ideally in beverages or beer.
- Proven track record of successfully entering and scaling markets within Africa.
- Strong understanding of African distribution landscapes and regulatory environments.
- Established network of distributors, importers, and key industry stakeholders across multiple African markets.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex commercial agreements and driving revenue growth.
- Experience launching and building premium consumer brands is highly desirable.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
- High level of resilience, adaptability, and cultural awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
- Fluency in English is required.
- Additional languages such as French or Portuguese are a strong advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the African continent.
- Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
