- As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for processing procurements of goods via GIZ country office Ghana and GIZ HQ as well as organizing all necessary documentation and logistics around procurement and delivery of goods. Also, you will coordinate the fleet as well as facility management with housekeeping.
- As the Procurement Specialist for the requesting project, you will coordinate and monitor an overall smooth and correct procurement processing for goods and services for local and international procurement as well as coordinate effectively with colleagues in the GIZ country office Ghana and with GIZ HQ.
- With your strong knowledge in public procurement law and procedures, you advise the staff in the project on efficient and effective ways to procure along our internal rule framework 'PuR'. Your task will also be to ensure full documentation digital and analog filing as well as timely follow up on all processes in your hand.
- You will keep Excel controlling tables as well as a supplier database to ensure an easy overview on all ongoing processes and their status to all team members from technical and administrative side.
- As an expert also for logistics you will effectively coordinate the fleet, incl. assignment of drivers to duty trips and vehicle management. Your tasks will also include organizing the smooth functioning of the facility management, as well as organization and controlling of work schedules for housekeeping staff.
- MA degree in Business Administration or Commerce or law or similar from a recognized college.
- Professional experience
- At least 7 years of experience as a procurement officer or related field in Government or NGO or international organization.
- Excellent knowledge with contracting rules in the public sector, preferably with GIZ.
- Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies (related software, phone, email, the internet) and computer applications (excellence
