- FACILITIES & PROJECT OVERSIGHT
- Supervise housing construction, refurbishment, and maintenance activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
- Ensure housing facilities are designed and maintained for durability, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Lead snagging, defect rectification, and final acceptance processes prior to handover.
- Support the Project Manager in scope definition, sequencing, and site readiness for housing works
- CONTRACTOR & TEAM COORDINATION
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship quality, and adherence to schedules.
- Provide technical guidance to project supervisors and contractors.
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Electrical Superintendent, HSE, and Procurement teams to ensure integrated delivery.
- HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
- Enforce HSE standards across all housing and facilities management-related activities.
- Ensure contractors comply with safety plans, permits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure contractors implement approved method statements, risk assessments, permits to work, and safe systems of work.
- REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
- Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and risk assessments/registers and site status updates for the Project Manager.
- Ensure complete documentation for smooth handover to Facilities and Operations teams.
- Ensure all as-built drawings, warranties, and operation & maintenance documentation are completed for seamless handover to Facilities and Operations teams.
- CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION
- Review and validate civil and structural designs, specifications, and BOQs for housing projects.
- Ensure full compliance with Ghana Building Code, relevant engineering standards, local authority approvals, and company technical specifications.
- Identify constructability risks and propose practical, cost-effective technical solutions.
- Actively assist the Department Head with the preparation of the monthly budget.
- Develop and manage all budget items, including cost control and expenditure forecasting.
- Ensure the budget is in line with the department’s scheduled activities.
- Supervise the team to execute assigned projects within deadlines and budget.
- Carry out performance appraisals and development plans with subordinate staff.
- Coordinate the leave schedule of subordinate staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or any other related discipline is mandatory.
- Multicultural experience is an advantage
- A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in civil works, housing construction, refurbishment, and/or facilities management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Proven experience in site-based leadership and project coordination.
- Professional registration (GhIE or equivalent) is an added advantage.
