Position Summary:The Group Head of Finance will be responsible for the overall financial leadership and strategic financial management of a group of four companies operating across the United States and Ghana. This executive will ensure robust financial performance, compliance with regulatory standards, and the implementation of best-in-class financial policies, processes, and internal controls.The role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing multi-entity financial operations, optimizing capital structure, and enhancing return on investment. The Group Head of Finance will work closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to support sustainable growth and long-term value creation.[ad]Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the group's business goals and growth plans.
Accounting Operations & Management:
  • Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, proper ledger maintenance, and timely closing of books.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present timely, accurate internal and external financial reports in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements in the US and Ghana.
Audit & Compliance:
  • Coordinate and lead all audit activities, including annual external audits and internal audit reviews. Ensure full regulatory compliance with federal, state, and international financial laws.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships to ensure optimal liquidity, risk management, and capital structure.
Tax Strategy & Compliance:
  • Oversee tax planning, reporting, and compliance across jurisdictions.
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Direct and develop high-performing accounting and finance teams across the four companies. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Policy Development:
  • Establish and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen operational efficiency and risk management.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support key decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in multinational or multi-entity organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax laws in the US and Ghana.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and capital raising is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Remuneration:Gross monthly salary ranges between GHS45,000.00 - GHS57,000.00
