Job Vacancy For Health and Safety OfficerA reputable manufacturing company located on the Spintex Road, Accra is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person for the position of Health and Safety OfficerDuties include but not limited to the following:
  • Plans and organises effective safety systems in the Factory
  • Duly monitoring of health, safety and sanitation situation in the factory
  • Ensures workers are provided with personal protective equipment and comply with usage
  • Ensures First Aid Boxes are fully replenished with drugs
  • Organises regular toolbox tasks and training in all safety activities in conjunction with the HR/Administrative Manager and the Safety Committee
  • Investigates and write reports on accidents and incidents
  • Prepare monthly safety and sanitation reports
  • Supervise the general cleaning team of the Factory and the entire environment to ensure cleanliness at all times
  • Advices the HR/Administrative Manager as well as the Chief Operating Officer and the General Manager (Operations) on safety and related matters
  • Coordinates to conduct induction/orientation for new employees
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualification Required & Experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering plus a Diploma Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA/NEBOSH) or related qualification in Health and Safety programme with at least 5 years work experience preferably in a manufacturing industry
