- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Bank’s strategic plan.
- Advise the Managing Director and Board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead capital adequacy planning, funding strategies, and asset-liability management.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS and Bank of Ghana guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports to regulators (BoG, SEC, GRA).
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring across business units.
- Ensure compliance with Bank of Ghana prudential regulations, PFM Act (where applicable), Companies Act, and tax laws.
- Oversee internal financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Support external and internal audit processes, ensuring implementation of recommendations.
- Supervise treasury operations including liquidity management, interbank placements, and investment portfolios.
- Monitor interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks, aligning with ALCO decisions.
- Optimize balance sheet structure to support growth and profitability.
- Provide financial analysis and insights for decision-making across business units.
- Drive cost efficiency and operational productivity through sound financial management.
- Support product development, pricing strategies, and funding of agribusiness projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators, government agencies, development partners, and investors.
- Prepare board-level presentations, financial briefings, and reports for shareholder engagements.
- Represent the bank in industry forums, policy dialogues, and external stakeholder engagements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance professionals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical financial management.
- Build capacity in financial planning, analysis, and compliance.
- Professional qualification: Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICA (GH), CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in banking/financial services, with at least 7 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS, Basel II/III, PFM Act, tax regulations, and financial risk management.
- Experience working with regulators (Bank of Ghana, Auditor-General, SEC) and external auditors.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial planning skills.
- Deep knowledge of banking operations, treasury, and capital markets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Proven leadership, team management, and talent development ability.
- Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Capital adequacy and liquidity ratios within BoG thresholds.
- Cost-to-income ratio improvements.
- Return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) growth.
- Successful execution of strategic financial initiatives.
