The Quantity Surveyor / Procurement Officer is accountable for overseeing the financial management of construction projects while ensuring effective procurement of materials and services. This dual-role function includes cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and supplier coordination, all aimed at supporting timely and cost-efficient project delivery.   • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility analyses for construction projects.
  • Monitor and report on expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Conduct site measurements and valuation of completed work.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation.
  • Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with contractors and vendors.
  • Assess variations, handle claims, and manage final account settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with construction regulations and industry best practices.
Procurement Duties:
  • Design and implement procurement strategies in alignment with project requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare purchase orders and track the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
  • Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal obligations, and ethical standards.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying and/or procurement within the construction industry
  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CIPS) is advantageous
  • Proven experience with construction costs, contracts, and procurement practices
  • Familiarity with Ghanaian construction laws and procurement regulations is a plus
