Job Vacancy For Director (Parliamentary Broadcasting)

- The Director will oversee and manage the operations of the Parliamentary Broadcasting Department, ensuring high-quality standards in the production and dissemination of parliamentary proceedings and related content through various media channels
- Produce unbiased and impartial coverage of proceedings from the chamber, parliamentary committee meetings and parliamentary functions through television, radio and internet channels
- Plan and maintain adequate infrastructure to support the broadcasting of proceedings and events of Parliament
- Ensure broadcasting companies adhere to rules of coverage of Parliamentary processing and events of Parliament
- Advise on the processing of accreditation for broadcasting companies that intend to use footage's on parliamentary proceedings and events
- Keep and maintain archives of audio and videos of parliamentary proceedings and functions
- Liaise with the Director, Public Engagement, to develop broadcasting content for public education and engagement
- Prepare a budget for the department for incorporation into the annual budget of the institution
- Lead the process of developing and implementing the department's strategic plan to be function into the strategic plan of the institution
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Clerk to Parliament.
- A First Degree in English, Communication Studies, Journalism or any relevant social science discipline from a recognised university with 10 years post-qualification experience plus a master's degree with at least 3 years on a grade analogous to Deputy Director in a Public Service institution or
- A Master's Degree in a relevant field with 5 years of post qualification experience and at least 3 years on a grade analogous to Deputy Director in a Public Service Institution
- A professional certificate in Law will be an added advantage
