- The successful candidate will deliver educational instruction to students and facilitate their academic, social, and emotional development. He/she will prepare lesson plans, assess student performance, and create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Preparing/creating class schemes/syllabi, and supplementary materials that teach the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and programming languages.
- Planning Lessons according to Curriculum Standards.
- Planning lessons that correspond to students’ ability level, facilitating class activities, and providing feedback to students about their work and progress in ICT.
- Grading assignments, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Serving as a patron to the robotics club.
- Staying abreast of latest IT Trends.
- Prepare, plan and effective deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
- Mark work, give appropriate feedback, and maintain records of pupils’ progress and development in keeping with National Curriculum standards.
- Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials, including termly schemes of work and medium-term plans.
- Select and use a range of different learning resources and ICT equipment, including internet and presentation projectors.
- Prepare and help to prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations such as BECE.
- Manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior, in keeping with the school behavior policy.
- May be called to play roles, such as form master/mistress, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
- Participate in and organize extracurricular activities, such as after school clubs, outings, social activities, and sporting events.
- Undergo regular observations as well as participating in regular in-service training (INSET) and performance management/evaluation as part of continuing professional development (CPD).
- Other responsibilities and duties will be assigned to you after prior consultations with your Head of School or other members of the Internal Management Team (IMT)
- have a diploma or bachelor's degree in education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- have proven experience teaching ICT-related subjects to students at the primary, secondary, or post-secondary level.
- Complete an approved teacher training program, and practical teaching experience through a student teaching internship will be desirable.
- have knowledge and experience in the concept of robotics will be an added advantage.
- have knowledge and experience in website management will also be desirable.
- be able to operate computers and use basic software for word processing, spreadsheets, email, etc;
- be able to evaluate and use computers and related ICT tools for instruction.
- be able to apply current instructional principles, research, and appropriate assessment practices to the use of ICTs.
- be able to evaluate educational software and applying them appropriately.
- be able to create effective computer-based presentations.
- be able to search the Internet for resources.
- be able to integrate ICT tools into student activities across the curriculum.
- be able to create multimedia content to support instruction.
- be able to create hypertext documents to support instruction.
- be able to demonstrate knowledge of ethics and equity issues related to technology.
- be able to keep up to date as far as educational technology is concerned.

- Two reference letters from persons familiar with the applicant's work. The reference letters should, among other things, include the following information on the candidate: Professional competence and work output, interpersonal skills and leadership abilities and sense of responsibility.
