Our experienced team members are our most precious asset, having discovered, explored and developed more than 24Moz of gold resources and reserves in Ghana; and having managed Ghana's largest underground mine.About This RoleThe purpose of this role is to is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating all electrical maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability. The role focuses on efficient resource utilization, minimizing downtime, and ensuring maintenance work is executed safely and effectively.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment
  • Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance schedules in coordination with operations
  • Review and prioritize work orders from the CMMS system
  • Define job scopes, required materials, tools, and manpower for each task
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials
  • Maintain and update maintenance records, job plans, and equipment history
  • Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and electrical standards
  • Liaise with supervisors and technicians to ensure proper execution of planned work
  • Monitor backlog and ensure timely closure of work orders
  • Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency
  • Support shutdown planning and execution
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance planning (mining, industrial, or manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Pronto)
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
  • Analytical reporting and problem-solving skills to support decision-making.
  • Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Troubleshooting, Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Team player with a strong safety mindset.
