Reports To: Director, TechnicalJob Summary: Lead and optimise the gold value addition process, ensuring locally refined gold meets international standards, and spearhead the organisation's gold tokenization initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Technical Director in formulating and executing strategies for refining, minting, fabrication, hallmarking, and gold tokenization, aligning all downstream processing activities with the organisation's mandate to enhance local value addition and market competitiveness.
  • Oversee gold refining operations to ensure compliance with international purity standards and market requirements.
  • Direct the minting of bullion and coins and the fabrication of high-quality gold products.
  • Implement and maintain robust hallmarking procedures to ensure quality and authenticity of gold products.
  • Spearhead the organisation's gold tokenization initiatives, integrating blockchain and digital assets into the gold trade.
  • Oversee the development and management of gold-backed digital assets, ensuring security and transparency.
Qualification Required & ExperienceSkills and Qualification Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Precious Metals Processing, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in gold refining, fabrication, with at least four (4) years in a senior role.
  • Extensive experience in gold refining, minting, fabrication, and hallmarking.
  • Experience with quality assurance and compliance procedures.
  • Knowledge of the gold industry and digital asset regulations.
  • Strong understanding of international gold purity standards and market requirements.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and digital asset management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement gold tokenization initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
