Job DescriptionRole Purpose
  • The CFO will oversee the finance team, taking direct ownership of cash management, revenue management, budgeting & forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
  • The CFO will be responsible for guaranteeing the organization's compliance with all internal and external regulations. In addition, the CFO will provide strategic direction to the organization and support decision-making by the board, executive directors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial team to develop, plan, and execute the organisation's financial and business strategy
  • Assist the MD in achieving the business & operational objectives – Revenue, EBITDA, Cash flow, Working Capital - by driving both Long Range and Short-Term Plans
  • Organize, manage, and supervise operations and activities to ensure best practices are followed and are in compliance with regulatory requirements including BoG, Audit, Tax and Treasury requirements
  • Lead Finance transformation within the Telecel Cash business
  • Set key business KPIs to deliver business success and manage organisation's delivery in the areas of Forecasting, Planning & Analysis and Management Information & Reporting
  • Lead the funding and liquidity management process and be responsible for investor relations for the organization
  • Lead and challenge the business to drive sustainable value proactively through informed and insightful decision-making
  • Provide continuous future focused business insights tailored to the business needs
  • Be the primary owner for all commercial and investment decisions and ensure Return-on-Investment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all matters related to financial and accounting activities
  • Establish and maintain efficient accounting and reporting systems and procedures
  • Lead the funding and liquidity management process
  • Identify and record all transactions undertaken by the organization
  • Prepare accounts and verify the reliability and relevance of market prices and fair values used when reporting
  • Lead reconciliation of accounts and accounting entries
Qualification Required & ExperienceRequirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a financial leadership role
  • 5+ years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a fin-tech company
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Experience in financial planning, strategy and reporting
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deep knowledge of financial management and online financial services
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Master's degree in finance or accounting, Certification or accreditation as an accountant such as ACCA, ICAG, CIMA, CPA etc and Knowledge of Open Banking and P2D will be preferable
