REPORTING TO: Head, IT Services EngineeringJOB ROLE
- The webmaster work directly with the team within the IT Services unit to design, plan and develop the University webpages in line with the University's Information and Communication Technology Policy and to reflect best practice of universities across the globe.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of websites for units across the University
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional digital solutions.
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Site Performance and Compliance: Optimize website performance and ensure security compliance.
- Design and Wireframing: Create wireframes and prototypes for improved user experience and accessibility.
- Drupal Theme Development: Design and implement custom Drupal themes from provided mockups, leading the development of University websites while maintaining consistent branding and adhering to design guidelines.
- Content Management System (CMS) Integration: Integrate CMS solutions to enable non-technical staff to manage content seamlessly.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Feedback and Iteration: Gather post-launch user feedback and implement improvements to enhance system usability and functionality
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience in Web Development with at least eight (8) years of experience
- Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, JSP, Python, Drupal (Drupal Theming)
- Frontend Development: Responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, Bootstrap Framework
- Data Analytics: Python for data analysis and visualization
- Database Management: SQL
- Microsoft Office: MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Vision Applicants must have served a minimum of two years in a Senior Staff role at the University of Ghana, and must be able to serve a minimum of 4 years in
