Reports To: Principal Officer, TechnicalJob Summary: Responsible for handling samples, preparing materials for testing, and assisting with routine procedures to ensure smooth laboratory operations.Key Responsibilities:

Receive and label gold and metal samples, ensuring proper documentation.
Prepare samples for testing by crushing, grinding, or sieving as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laboratory equipment and workspaces.
Measure and weigh samples accurately using scales and other instruments.
Assist with mixing chemical solutions following safety protocols to support testing processes.
Clean and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure proper storage of samples and chemicals according to laboratory policies.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and chemicals from the laboratory.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while handling chemicals and samples.

Qualification Required & ExperienceSkills and Qualification Requirements:

WASSCE (General Science) or STEM.
Basic knowledge of assay techniques such as sample preparation and chemical handling.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as scales, crushers, and grinders.
Good communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with supervisors.
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently under supervision.
High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive materials.
