Job Vacancy For Inspector (Engineer)

• The Engineer is responsible for keeping records and supervising all the activities carried out by the Contractor.

• Works under general supervision.
• May assist with training entry-level employees.
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
• Tracks quality assurance progress.
• Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
• Liaises with the Health/Safety Manager and the Contract/Commercial Manager to provide support and guidance as required.
• Monitors and reviews the Contractor's documents/shop drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any project components or systems.
• Monitors safety aspects on and off the project site.
• Provides progress reports of the various technical aspects of the project.
• Maintains registers of all submittals and testing, both on and off-site.
• Maintains full site records, including daily site diaries in an approved format and formal monthly progress photography.
• Familiar with the project's contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications and health and safety measures. • Ensures that the Contractor/s are compliant with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
• Responsible for daily follow-up with the Contractor.
• Prepares site measurements and surveying checks in coordination with a Land Surveyor for alignments and levels.
• Maintains records of material tests performed and executed works.
• Audits inspections for conformity to contract documents and Contractor submitted plan
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
