Job DescriptionThe Zenith University College is a private tertiary institution accredited by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and affiliated to University of Cape Coast to provide higher education, undertake research, disseminate knowledge and to provide service to the communityThe college invites applications from experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated individuals for the position of Dean for the Faculty of Law.Job Summary
  • The Dean serves as the Head of the Faculty and is expected to provide strategic direction in the running of the faculty within the general framework of the University College statutes and policies and/ or as may be determined by the University Council and Academic Board.
  • The successful applicant will help shape the future of the faculty in ways consistent with the University College’s vision and strategic plan
  • It is expected that the appointed Dean will have a distinguished record of academic achievements and managerial competence
  • The Dean is the Chair of the Faculty Board and coordinates the activities of the Faculty
  • He / She ensures that the approved programmes and other activities of the Faculty are carried out effectively
Qualification Required & ExperienceThe successful person should have the following trails, qualifications and competencies
  • Must be of a professorial Rank or at least a Senior Lecturer in a recognised institution and should have considerable experience in teaching, research and general administration
  • Must be a professional lawyer
  • Must have a deep appreciation of the academic working environment
  • Must have a distinguished and research record and capable of mentoring young Faculty members to publish in reputable Law Journals
  • Must be a renowned scholar with strong managerial skills and capable of inspiring, directing and motivating staff
  • Must be visionary, business-oriented and capable of establishing rapport between the University college and industry or other relevant stakeholders
  • Must be able to attract funding for research and other developmental activities of the Faculty
  • Must have strong communication, analytical and inter-ersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position will be an added advantage
