- The successful candidate will serve as the Commercial Accounting Manager in the Finance Department and will report to the Financial Controller.
- This individual will be responsible for the financial accounting related to all sales and distribution activities of the business. The Commercial Accounting Manager will also collaborate closely with non-financial colleagues, particularly in sales.
- Be the finance business partner for the go-to-market department ensuring finance dependencies are actioned on time.
- Ensure all business controls around sales to collect accounting operate effectively all year round
- Ensure adequate processes are established to monitor and account for all sales activities in all respective CSC's nationwide on a timely and accurate basis
- Implement sound inventory practices to mitigate all forms of exposure while ensuring commercial activities are not compromised
- Define & develop metrics and tracking systems for sales activities
- Constant review of credit limit & payment terms for major distributors with sales managers.
- Closely monitor all consignment sales, ensuring that the terms of such arrangements are being respected.
- Review all sales commissions before finance approval
- Contributing to the production of the annual plan and quarterly cash forecasts
- Ensure the accurate set-up of accounting rules for all inventory items in the Point Of Sale systems
- To deliver accurate, timely, business focused management reports, with specific focus on sales by products, distributors, payment media, and geographical areas etc.
- Bachelor's degree in economics or a Business-related field
- ACCA, CIMA or ICAG (Final Level)
- 3-4 years' work experience in a similar role
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Detailed understanding of billing systems from a financial perspective
- Organized and detail oriented
- Confident and fluent communicator with a broad range of finance experience.
- Detailed knowledge in IFRS especially in the areas of revenue, inventory and financial instruments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong commercial mindset
- Expert Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products
