- Provide technical support in developing and implementing logistics strategies, policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of persons, goods and materials
- Assist in planning and coordinating and logistics operations including requirements of the Parliamentary Service
- Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines and other regulatory distribution activities, maintaining documentation and records
- Advise on technical requirements in the acquisition and procurement of logistics for the Parliamentary Service
- Promote new or improved administrative, stores and clerical procedures to maintain economy and efficiency to stores operations
- Assist in monitoring the effective management of all stores activities of Parliament Services
- Liaise with departments to establish minimum, reordering and maximum stock levels of materials and monitor to ensure compliance
- Provide technical input for the preparation of stores code or vocabulary, standards and materials specifications for easy identification and retrieval of store items
- Assist in maintaining and updating records on all stores transactions
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the clerk to Parliament
- A good first degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 9 of post-qualification work experience and a Master's degree in the relevant discipline with at least 3 years in a position analogous to Assistant Director 1 in a public service institution OR
- A Master's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline from a recognised University with at least 6 years of post-qualification work experience and at least 3 years in a position analogous to a public service institution
