- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage data centers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage helpdesk operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT systems and data from cyber threats.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Keep an updated inventory of IT assets. Network Administration:
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and VPNs.
- Ensure network security through proper configuration of firewalls and other security devices.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Project Management:
- Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain project documentation.
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient and secure IT operations.
- Regularly review and update policies to keep pace with technological advancements and changing business needs. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate and select vendors for hardware, software, and IT services.
- Oversee contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality service delivery.
- Organize IT training and orientation for new staff hires.
- Develop and maintains documentation on IT procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking.
- Experience with IT security practices and data protection regulations.
- Proficiency in system administration, network administration, and IT support.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working for or with a non-profit, donor, or government of Ghana preferred.
- Strong understanding of USAID operations or international NGOs preferred.
- Skilled and experienced working with software's and IT systems
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
