- To ensure that the bank and its directors operate and correspond with law
- Assist the board in complying with the constitution of the bank and any relevant enactments
- Provide administrative support for the Board by ensuring that minutes of meetings of shareholders committees and directors are properly recorded in the form required by Act 992
- Maintain all statutory registers, books and records of the bank
- Ensure that the annual financial statement of the bank is dispatched to persons entitled to the statement a required by Act 992
- Ensure that all statutory forms, returns and documents are duly filled out with the registrar
- Provide the board with guidance as to their duties responsibilities and power and on the changes and developments in laws affecting with operations of the bank
- Ensure that board constitution and policies are in place and implemented
- A Bachelor's Degree in company law, Business Administration or management
- A Master's Degree in areas of accounting and finance will be an added advantage
- Must be a qualified member in good standing of any of these professional bodies ICSA, ICAG, CIB, ACCA and a legal practitioner who has been called to the bar
- Not less than 3 years of proven experience as a Board or company secretary
- Must possess high level of integrity and diplomacy
- Understanding of Ghana's laws and legal responsibilities
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent leadership and managerial skills
- Must be a team player and self-oriented person
- Mus have knowledge in ICT i.e Microsoft Office applications
