Job Vacancy For Writer

• Writing news releases for media: print, broadcast and digital
• Collaborate with designers and other colleagues to produce creative content for various communication campaigns and mediums
• Conducting interviews and undertaking research to develop news releases, articles and features
• Edit and proofread copy as needed
• Pitch stories to the media
• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and othe media personnel
• Maintain a media contact list
• Track media news coverage
• Write content for company website and other social media pages
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

• Must have a flair for writing (prose, poetry and drama)
• Proven experience as a content writer, copy writer or related role
• Portfolio of published works
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience with SEO
• Strong research skills
• Creativity
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills
• BA in journalism, English and Public Relations
