
Operations Assistant - Driver

- Transport passengers between designated stops and the university at all time, including early morning, late night, and weekend shifts.
- Support the weekend MBA program by ensuring reliable shuttle services during program schedules.
- Provide transportation for shift employees working outside regular weekday hours.
- Perform university-related errands and assist with field trips and special transport assignments.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Monitor traffic and weather conditions to maintain schedule and passenger safety.
- Uphold the university’s image by practicing courteous and responsible driving.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the bus, including checks on brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- Ensure timely Servicing and optimal maintenance of Vehicles.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, safe, and comfortable at all times.
- Ensure renewal and availability of all relevant vehicle and driver documentation (roadworthiness, insurance, license, etc.).
- Immediately report any mechanical issues or delays to the Assistant Director, Logistics.
- Collect fare from passengers during scheduled shifts and lodge all collections as directed.
- Must have a minimum valid class C or D driver’s license.
- Proven experience with early morning, night, or weekend shifts is an advantage.
- Courteous and professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, especially during non-standard hours.
- Prior experience driving a bus, preferably in an institutional or school setting.
- Ability to interpret and comply with road safety regulations.
- Flexibility and dependability in adjusting to changing schedules and program needs.
