Job Vacancy For Principal Officer, Assessment and Examination

- To provide technical and operational support in assessment and examination for the achievement of the mandate of the organization
- Provides input for the formulation of policies of the organization
- Supervises the collation of data for the development of standards, guidelines, processes and procedures for the conduct of licensure examination
- Facilitates the setting and moderation of examination questions and assessment criteria
- Supervises the printing and transportation of the examination materials
- Facilitates the marking of examination scripts and publication of results
- Facilitates the effective and efficient management of assessment and examination resources
- Facilitates the maintenance of security for examination materials and facilities
- Supervises the collation of data for the timely publication of licensure assessment and examination results
- Collaborates closely with officers, departments and other stakeholders in the implementation of programmes and activities of the department
- Supervises the collation of data for the development of annual work plans for the department
- Supervises the collation of data for the preparation of annual budgets and work plans of the department
- Supervises the collation of data for the preparation of annual and other periodic report of the department
- Supervises the implement of performance management policy in the department
- A minimum a Master's Degree in Education or any related field from an accredited tertiary institution
- A minimum of 6 years post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution, 2 years of which must be in a management position
- Must pass a competitive selection interview
- Very good leadership, networking, monitoring and management skills
- Very good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in assessment and exminations
- High integrity and confidentiality
- Excellent moral and ethical conduct
- Good negotiating, lobbying, diplomacy and conflict management
- Excellent qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills
- Very good capacity to inspire and motivate
- Extensive knowledge in education sector and related fields
- Good knowledge of public financial management laws and regulations
- Knowledge in relevant IT applications
- Certificates from bachelor's degree upwards
