- To provide technical and administrative direction and leadership for the efficient and effective performance of the information, communication and technology (ICT) functions of the institution
- To provide input for the formulation of policies
- To ensure the implementation fo programmes and activities of the institution
- To ensure the efficient and effective management of the human, material and financial resources of the institution
- To ensure the development and implementation of policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations in the institution
- To advise on the acquisition, allocation, maintenance, utilization, replacement, valuation and disposal of ICT equipment
- To ensure the installation, servicing and upgrading of all ICT equipment
- To collaborate and plan with operating units to conceptualize, develop and launch technology-based products and services such as Telemedicine, E-Learning
- To ensure the establishment of security systems, disaster recovery operations and data backups
- To ensure the establishment of systems for troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and other network system problems
- To ensure the development and maintenance of the website of the college
- To oversee the implementation of performance management system within the department
- To ensure the preparation of the annual and other periodic reports of the Department.
- To ensure the preparation of the annual work plan and budget of the department
- A Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Management Information system or any other related field from an accredited tertiary institution
- A minimum of 10 years post Bachelor's relevant work experience
- 5 years of which must be in a Senior Management position
- Must pass a selection interview conducted by the college
- Good leadership and strategic management skills
- Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures
- Good knowledge in financial management and labour laws and regulations
- Good business sense
- High integrity, professionalism and good ethical standard
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Negotiating, networking, lobbying and advocacy skills
- Conflict management skills
- Ability to take initiative and to influence others positively
- Knowledge in relevant IT applications
- Monitoring and evaluation skills
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
