Job DescriptionA reputable civil society organization based in Accra with branches in all regions and selected districts in Ghana is looking for experienced and motivated health professionals to implement a new project focusing on improving maternal and child health outcomes in six regions of Ghana (North East, Northern, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West and Western Regions): Monitoring and Evaluation OfficersJob Summary
  • The M&E Officer will assist in the overall management and coordination of the project through data collection, management and analysis for continuous improvement in the project. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can ensure that data collection, analysis and reporting are accurate, timely and useful for decision-making
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist to develop and operate a system that will ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of all project activities and timely reporting
  • Support the design and review of data collection tools, work plans and checklists on project activities for decision-making
  • Assist in coordinating the development and review of guidelines on monitoring and evaluation for effective project implementation
  • Regularly track and monitor project activities and report the status of performance and quality improvement
  • Collate and review that from implementing sites to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Support the capacity building of all officers in data management and reporting using the agreed M&E system
  • Assist to plan and undertake data verification visits to project sites
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual progress reports of the project to ensure project effectiveness
  • Ensure that all M&E activities comply with donor requirements and organizational policies
Qualification Required & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in public health, statistics, social sciences, monitoring and evaluation or a related field. A master's degree is an added advantage
  • At least 3 years of experience in M&E roles, preferably within the health sector or related projects
Skills
  • Proficiency in the use of DHIMS 2
  • Knowledge of M&E methodologies and tools, including data management and statistical analysis software (e.g, SPSS, STATA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to use MS Office suites (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience in RMNCH programmes is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
