  • Reports to: Operations Manager
PurposeThe qualified candidate will be responsible for planning, creating, and building a wide variety of physical and natural built projects from inception to completion. He will ensure each project is feasible by analysing local and environmental impacts and making sure that they can be completed on time within the budget restrictions.[ad]Duties
  • Conducting site evaluations and top geographical surveys to gather essential data for planning and designs.
  • Creating detailed designs for infrastructure components such as roads, drainage systems, water supply networks, and buildings.
  • Overseeing the progress of construction projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensuring all projects comply with local building codes, regulations, and environmental guidelines to obtain necessary permits and approval.
  • Monitoring construction activities to ensure quality standards are met and addressing any issues that arises.
  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial report for projects.
  • Implementing and enforcing protocols on-site to project workers and public.
  • Maintaining accurate records of projects progress, changes, and complete work.
  • Integrating sustainable practice and innovative solutions into design and construction processes to enhance environmental performance.
Required Skills or ExperienceEducation & Experience
  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
  • 1- 3 years of working experience as a civil engineer.
  • Experience with a real estate company will be an added advantage.
Requirement
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering principles, techniques, and tools.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversees projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to pay critical attention to details.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiar with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Capacity to lead teams and supervise construction activities.
  • Open to new technologies, innovative practices.
  • Ability to adapt positively to change.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
