- The Dean provides academic and administrative leadership of the School. He/she is responsible for the academic leadership and general administration of the School, including human, financial, and material resources, in line with GCU's policies and strategic vision.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the School in ways consistent with GCU's mission and strategic goals. The appointment is for a three-year term, renewable for an additional three years based on performance.
- Provide academic leadership, ensuring excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.
- Foster a research-driven environment and promote faculty scholarship and publications.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance postgraduate education and professional programmes.
- Ensure the school meets national and international accreditation standards.
- Establish and strengthen collaborations with national and international institutions.
- Secure funding and financial support for research, training, and academic programmes.
- Oversee curriculum development, programme review, and quality assurance.
- Drive student recruitment and promote the school's programs.
- Chair the School Board and oversee academic departments within the school.
- Lead initiatives in digital learning, research capacity building, and industry linkages.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
- Be of Professorial rank (Associate Professor or Professor).
- Have a distinguished academic and research record with proven leadership experience.
- Demonstrate competence in academic administration and strategic planning.
- Have experience in developing and managing academic programmes.
- Possess expertise in higher education accreditation and quality assurance.
- Show strong commitment to academic excellence and research development.
- Have a track record of attracting research grants and funding.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Have the ability to build partnerships with local and international institutions.
