- The Director of Commercialisation and Communication is a key member of the Executive Management team of the commission and is expected to coordinate effectively with the institutes and departments/centres image of the commission
- Developing and implementing guidelines and procedures governing the commercialisation and communication activities of the commission
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality control standards with respect to ISOs for customer satisfaction
- Promoting and marketing income generating activities of the commission by responding to industrial needs through technology transfer
- Facilitating the development, protection and management of intellectual property of GAEC research output
- Determining funding needs and prioritising resource mobilisation programmes domestically and internationally
- Coordinating with the various institutes and support services for effective and efficient management of the activities of the Directorate
- Formulating appropriate strategies and action plans to build a positive image of GAEC and promote its activities through the print and electronic media on peaceful application of nuclear and related technologies for social-economic development
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Any other job assigned by the Director General
- Must possess at least a Master in Business Administration, Marketing option or Communication. A PhD in Marketing or Communication will be an added advantage
- Must have at least 15 years relevant experience
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience at Senior Management level
- Must demonstrate knowledge and skills in marketing
- Must have good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
- Must not be more than 55 years
