Job DescriptionAbout This Role:
  • Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing or unpacking goods, and issuing or delivering items from the store.
  • Perform routine warehouse functions including receiving, unloading, inventory management, storage, movement, and distribution of materials. Consistently uphold Newmont's values of Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Inclusion, and Responsibility.
In This Role You Will:Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere and comply to all stipulated Warehousing and Materials control regulations.
  • Ensure all warehouse operations are in compliance with safety requirements promoting the company’s safety culture.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy workspace is kept at all times.
Stores Documentation
  • Maintain receipts, records, and stores withdrawals.
  • File and distributes required documents according to procedures.
Stock Control
  • Check materials, supplies and reports when stock is low.
  • Conduct stock counts as per procedures.
Stock Receipt and Issue
  • Receive and unpack materials and supplies.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, Telehandler and Reach stacker efficiently.
  • Supervise the packing away of receipted goods.
  • Issue goods according to procedures.
Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
  • Senior High School Certificate.
Additional Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
  • Supply Chain functional knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Procure - To - Pay (P2P) transactional processes.
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) / Enterprise asset planning (EAP) System knowledge.
  • Mining business acumen.
  • Warehouse Management.
Experience:
  • 2 to 4 years' work experience in Warehousing.
  • 2-3 years' work experience in efficiently operating warehouse equipments such as Reach stacker, Forklifts and Telehandler.
  • Must possess a valid Ghanaian Driver's License – class E.
Technical Skills:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of Warehouse Inventory Control Systems.
  • Good writing skills.
