We provide opportunities for everyone to do their most meaningful work, through cross-functional collaboration in an environment that encourages intellectual and personal growth.If you're seeking an environment that values diverse contributions, supports professional development, and enables you to work with purpose, come join our teamAbout the DepartmentThe Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance department leads, guides, and supports Ashesi University’s continuous improvement efforts across academic programs, student support services, business operations and processes.The department accomplishes this through leading the transformation of data into actionable information for analysis, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision making; Guiding and supporting the reviewing and assessment of institutional and department strategic decisions to identify opportunities and areas for growth and improvement; Supporting institutional and program accreditation efforts including ensuring that Ashesi University meets and maintains quality standards; Leading data governance efforts to ensure data integrity in the collection, storage, reporting and analysis of institutional data.About the RoleThe Business Intelligence Analyst supports institutional effectiveness by developing clear, accurate, and accessible data resources for the university community. This role will focus on creating dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations. The goal is to ensure that university leadership and heads of department have the necessary information to monitor various key performance indicators as well as make informed decisions. The Analyst works closely with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Asurrance to understand and respond to the data needs of the university community.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain quality institutional data dashboards on key performance and student success indicators.
  • Develop automated reporting processes to ensure easy and timely access to institutional data and information
  • Work closely with departments to identify and support their data needs for reporting purposes
  • Prepare data summaries, visuals, and analyses that support planning, evaluation, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Work closely with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance to provide guidance and training to the university committee on how to interpret dashboards and use data appropriately.
  • Work closely with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance to respond to ad‑hoc requests for analysis in response to leadership inquiries and emerging institutional priorities.
  • Work closely with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance on data governance to improve data workflows and reporting processes to enhance clarity, efficiency, usability, and integrity of data.
Skills and QualificationsThe required minimum qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, business and data analytics, social science, or other related fields.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency working with databases and data reporting tools.
  • Microsoft SQL Server database programming and the ability to write complex SQL codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word).
  • Proficiency with statistical software tools preferably SPSS.
  • Ability to communicate data clearly through visualizations, written summaries, and presentations.
